This was the last photo of Kirby ever taken. He was truly the best dog. We loved him so much. We had to send him away to college before he was drafted, and we never heard from him again. He worked so hard and loved all he knew. We are truly better for having known him.

On a cold winter day, Kirby was out sledding with his friends Zach and Sam. He escaped his chain that day and was out in the wild. He and Rex (Tuscani were the best of friends) were friends — or so Kirby thought — and so Kirby went to visit Rex after he escaped the chains of his dog sled. Kirby did not realize (because of his loving and trusting nature) that Rex was not to be trusted. Rex committed a felony and staged the whole thing to look like Kirby did it. Because of this evil, Kirby (right at the time of his dog-school graduation) got in trouble. As a result, he had to leave home to go to college and be trained not to do these things (which he never did) again. It was a sad and unfortunate turn of events, but we trust and know that Kirby loved us and would have always been there for us.
